THIELLS, NEW YORK – FRHSD NJROTC is exceedingly proud to announce our victory at the Area Four Southern Region Academic, Athletic, and Drill Competition. Following this success, FRHSD NJROTC has claimed the esteemed honor of representing our NJROTC Area at this year’s Navy National Championship. This is the fourth consecutive year FRHSD NJROTC has been distinguished with the title of “Area 4 Champions.” FRHSD NJROTC cadets excelled across the full portfolio of competitive events: academics, athletics, and drill. Our academic team clinched second place, conceding only to the Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST,) our sister unit from Monmouth County, NJ. In athletic competition, FRHSD NJROTC cadets excelled, performing push-ups, cadence curl-ups, and an 8×90 foot dash relay, with FRHSD NJROTC capturing first place in all three areas. In drill events, FRHSD NJROTC set a high standard for excellence, bringing home trophies in all but one drill event. Exemplary performance does not manifest spontaneously but is the result of countless hours of training, preparation, and dedication. The cadets of FRHSD NJROTC faced strong competition from several units at the championship event, in particular, from the NJROTC Cadets of MAST and Atlantic City High School (a rising powerhouse,) but their strong performance once again won the day. As we celebrate, we will continue to train, grow, and challenge ourselves to be better, as our competitors surely will as well. The cadets of Freehold Regional High School District NJROTC are proud of their significant accomplishment and eager to meet the coming challenge of the Navy NJROTC National Academic, Athletic, and Drill Championship in April.
